How do I know which pieces go together?
The attachments (housings) are color coded and some pieces are marked with letters:

Juicer / Frozen Treat – The pusher and end cap are black and the Juicer / Frozen Treat parts are stamped with the letter “J” with the exception of the frozen treat blocker.

Slicer / Shredder – These parts are dark gray.

Pasta Maker – These parts are light gray and are stamped with the letter “P”.

Meat Grinder – These parts are white and are stamped with the letter “M”.

Why does my slicer/shredder not work or falls off?
The Slicer/Shredder blade must be inserted and turned to lock onto the backplate of the main unit. Insert the Slicer/Shredder attachment (housing) into the base unit. The attachment (housing) twists onto the base. Insert the Shredder/Slicer blade onto the attachment (housing) (3 fins). Twist the blade to the right to lock it into the housing.

If you run the unit in backward mode, the blade will come off. You must remove the blade to unlock the housing from the base

How can I remove the Juice / Frozen Treat or Slicer / Shredder attachments (housing) from the base more easily?
There is a white button on the base that should be pressed to release the attachment (housing). Press the button and twist off the attachment (housing).

Should I allow frozen fruit to thaw for a few minutes before processing?
Yes. We recommend allowing frozen fruit to thaw for 5-10 minutes before processing. If the fruit has a high water content, allow the frozen fruit to soften even more. Don’t push too hard or place too much frozen fruit into the attachment (housing) throat. Too much frozen fruit could jam the unit or cause the seal cap to jam.
You can remove the extrusion cap and allow the frozen fruit to free flow from the appliance. Free flow mode will extrude 3 strips of frozen treat.

Where does the juice come out of the unit?
The juice comes out from the middle bottom of the Juicer / Frozen Treat attachment (housing), NOT the front. You must remove the storage tray when juicing and replace it with the juice collector. The remains of whatever was juiced will extrude from the front of the unit.

The fruit or vegetable I am juicing is wrapped around the auger. Is that normal?
It is common for a fruit or vegetable to wrap around the auger. Clean the auger when finished, or, if juicing a large quantity, clean periodically.

Why is there food between the extrusion cap and filter/discs? What can I do?
During juicing, food can get caught between the extrusion cap and filter. Pasta dough may get pushed between the pasta screw cap and the disc. If this happens, you can remove the food by hand or soak in warm water.

How will I know if the pasta dough has the correct amount of liquid?
Pasta dough will easily mix inside the housing and hold together after the mixing cycle completes. The extruded pasta should not look too dry or too flaky along the edges and should evenly extrude from the unit. Be careful not to add too much water as the dough will form into a ball and the mixing arm will have difficulty pushing it through the auger sleeve.

Dough is sticking to the mixing chamber wall. What should I do?
As the kneading paddle turns, the dough should be grabbed and mixed with the main dough ball. If the dough is not mixing after a few minutes, you can pause the machine and use a spatula to remove it from the mixing chamber sides. This may be a sign the dough is too wet.

The pasta is not coming out of the unit in the same length.
The pasta will come out faster from the center. This is normal.

The dough is dry and stuck inside the unit. Why?
You may have used too much flour. The dry measuring cup holds 1 ½ cups of dry ingredients. Check to see how many “cups” of flour you used in the recipe.

The unit has stopped with an E1 error. What should I do?
An E1 error means the motor stopped. This can happen if the pasta dough is too dry and the mixing paddle is clogged. Check the ingredients and make sure the dough isn’t too dry or the food being juiced or extruded isn’t being forced through the unit. For dry pasta, start over or add water to match the quantity of flour. For juice or frozen foods, remove some of the food and restart unit.

How do I use the dry measuring cup? How much does it hold?
The dry measuring cup holds 1 ½ cups of dry ingredients.

The egg did not flow into the dough and is sitting in the liquid area of the lid. How do I get it to mix into the flour?
Pour a small amount of liquid into the egg. Using a spatula, push the mixture into the mixing chamber. It is best to whisk or beat the egg (s) well before pouring into the measuring cup and pouring into the unit.

Why is the box large?
The pasta maker and additional housings are packaged in a few different compartments in the box which requires a larger amount of space.
